My Journey:
How SpanishSophia Came to Life

Born and raised in Mexico City, my passion for the arts and singing has been with me since childhood. I spent six enriching years as first soprano with the Mexican Opera House Choir. While this was a remarkable experience, I felt a need for a new direction.
In 2008, life led me to NYC, where I embraced new opportunities to work with children. From babysitting and private Spanish tutoring to teaching chorus in after-school programs, I immersed myself in nurturing young minds. I was also involved with “The Society of Educational Arts,” a bilingual theater for kids and adults in the East Village.
Combining my experiences as a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and performer with my love for creating original songs, I developed Spanishsophia. This program blends music, singing, body movement, puppetry, and games to create an engaging learning experience for children.
I deeply enjoy fostering a fun and safe environment where children can express themselves, learn, and grow through play.
